Drain cleaning is our first and foremost trade. Bob's Root'r Service has been opening clogged lines in Raytown and across the Greater Kansas City metro since 2000, and it is still the work we do more than anything else. We size the cable and the cutting head to the pipe we are working in, whether that is a 1½" lavatory arm, a 2" kitchen line, a 3" tub-and-toilet branch or a 4" main. Old galvanized, cast iron, Orangeburg, clay tile, ABS and PVC all behave differently under a cable, and knowing the difference before the machine starts is what keeps your pipe intact.

Drain cleaning is an art and a science: the science of understanding direction of flow and the many different types and styles of piping and drain venting systems used over the decades, and the art of being able to adjust to real-life situations in real time, using the best and most cost-effective option available. A drain that keeps coming back is rarely a cable problem — it is usually a slope, a vent, a belly or a root problem — and we would rather tell you that on day one than sell you the same clog four times a year.
